Robert and Jennifer Drawdy are high school sweet-hearts that got married in Kingsland, GA. in July1991. Shortly afterward Robert joined the US Army. He retired 1Jan2013 after 20 years of active duty. They currently have seven children. All which are given blessings from the Lord. Three received through birth. Four received through adoption.

Over his 20 years of service Robert filled the roles as: a Sheet Metal Worker, a Welder, a Machinist, a Metal Shop Foreman, Metal and Carpenter Shop Supervisor, and a Senior Instructor. As an instructor he trained service members on a wide range of skilled trades to include Auto Body Repair, Painting, Welding and Machining Operations and Computer Numerical Controlled Machine Operation and Programming. In doing this he found his gift of being able to break down tough to learn skills in a unique way for better understanding and learning.

Robert and Jennifer felt the calling to open their home to foster care in 2007 and provided that service in Waldorf,MD for over 6 years. The Drawdy family has provided love, care and support for seven different foster children. Two of whom they adopted. They continue to serve the community with this service here in Shelbyville, TN. where they have fostered four children, two whom they currently have.
